You MUST meet the minimum entry requirements at the time of the ITA (e.g. the one year of work experience).

For the purpose of CRS points ,they will calculate them at the time of the ITA AND at the time you submit your eAPR. As long as your CRS score is above the cutoff for your draw at either time, the ITA will be considered valid.
jes_ON, kindly respond to me query once more. You said that, "As long as your CRS score is above the cutoff for your draw at either time" But as per the link, I should be eligible during both times?

Already answered. You have misunderstood the information.

  • "If the applicant’s CRS score at the time of the e-APR is equal to or higher than the lowest-ranked score in the round of invitations, the application will not be refused under section A11.2, as long as the applicant’s supporting documentation corroborates their claims and they continue to meet the MEC for Express Entry, including the requirements of the program to which they were invited to apply."

You are right. May be am not getting it. Basically you are saying if my work experience is valid as on ITA date, I am good. I don't think anybody faced this situation :)

GCMS talks about the lock in date as application receipt. Hope mine is not refused for that.

So I should be

Last question.

With your explanation, will let be meeting the MEC as on EAPR date? Sorry if I ask stupid questions.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, looks like I'm the dummy who wasn't understanding - you weren't asking about CRS scores (someone else was), you were asking about MEC, thanks for clarifying. Your one year of experience Canadian experience was met at the time of the ITA, but was older than 3 years at the time you submitted your eAPR for CEC class - do I understand correctly now?

I have been scouring the IRCC site and others for a ray of hope, but... I am not finding it. ITA is used as the lock-in date for age, but that's the only thing I can find. All other MEC - under current guidelines (released Nov 2016) - have to be met both at the time of the ITA and at the time the eAPR is received. I think it was different before those guidelines were issued, but unfortunately, that doesn't help you now.

When did you apply, how much of your experience "expired" before you submitted your eAPR?

Oh this is sad for me then.

My ITA is on 22nd Feb. I have not yet submitted EAPR. As on ITA it was exactly 1 year and 4 days. I would lose the experience of Feb, March and April of 2014.

Without cec, my score would be 413. Should I decline ITA? And wait for FSW?

Well, before you decline, I would suggest a consultation with a good lawyer... I know you don't have much time left.

Note that if you were invited under FSW, your Canadian work experience would still count, because for the purpose of CRS scores, work experience in the past 10 years counts.

It's hard to predict what will happen with CRS scores...

I was invited for both CEC and FSW.

Yes CRS tool gives me same score today also. But inside the profile, it asks for different question due to which my score is low.

Hi jes_ON,

I had declined that ITA for CEC. I did enter the pool again and got invite for FSW, so I am back in business.

Now I am aware of people providing NOA and T4 along with reference letters. My reference letter has proper information as per CIC requirements, hence I am planning not to submit T4 and NOA at this time.

T4 and NOA does not match salary due to intra company transfer and I was paid that amout in home country. Part of it was paid in Canada for which I had paid taxes. I dont want to get into complications hence only the reference letter. What do you think?

Glad to hear about the new ITA!

If your reference letter does not explain your remuneration arrangements, then it is not "proper." If it does, then it is no problem to provide your NOA and T4. You would not be the first person to apply for PR who has had those salary arrangements.

If you do not provide any supporting documentation, then the VO could potentially decide that that you did not convince them of your experience. It is not their job to find the information that you fail to provide.

Hello

I am the primary applicant in Express Entry Federal Skilled Workers category. I had submitted my pre-application in Aug 2016. In Feb 2017 we got the ITA. By May 4 2017 we had submitted the application. Our medical got cleared but the rest of the application is still in process.

In my application there is my dependent spouse (Indian citizen) and our twin toddler daughters (USA citizens). In my pre-application I had stated that I had > 5 years of work experience in the last 10 years because I worked from June 2006 to Aug 10 2012. So in Aug 2016 I had 5+ years of work experience. When I submitted my application on May 4 2017 I still had 5+ years of work experience.

However now as of Aug 11 2017 my PR application is still in process and my number of work experience in the last 10 years is less than 5.

Does anyone know if the cut off/lock in for number of years of work experience is fixed at the date of submitting application or will my points now be deducted for having <5 years of experience since the application is still in process?

Thanks!
Monica

I love easy questions : ) Your final scores are calculated based on the date you submit your eAPR, so your five years are safe. Good luck!
