Dear Friends,

Could somebody please tell me the chances of Canadian study permit on a second attempt. I was once refused for not including my personal bank statement, though I do have a full scholarship that has been offered to me for my PhD. I reapplied after a 20 days gap.

Regards,

Ola
If you/anyone apply again for visa you have to do biometrics again for the second application.

You don't have to give again, if approved for TRV once. Must give again if applying for SP/WP.

Yes I did

Hello,

I did do biometrics again, it was mandatory. It was purely like a fresh application, except for an explanatory letter that accompanied my new application. What are the prospects now??????? I have a fully funded PhD position at stake. Can somebody enlighten me please :'(.

But u did not tell us if u have included ur bank. Statement & how much u have there. It will assist in giving better advice. Again is there any time limit btw online application & biometric? Immediately, two days or more etc

Could you tell me what specifically was the reason for rejection given by CIC.

lack of funds or they thought only scholarship wont be enough, although it is more than enough

They only want to see ur commitment & preparedness for the program

That indeed is strange. Does your scholarship cover only the tuition fee or the living expenses too?

I don't think so, they only want to see your money. I applied for the scholarship because I didn't have enough money to fund my PhD. But the moron still wants to see my bank statement. What is the point in applying for a scholarship then if I still need to prove that I have enough money. I am afraid their next alligation will be that you (I) lied to your (my) university, you actually did not need a scholarship, you are rich enough, therefore we ban you for the next 25 years ;D

Really good point. Most of the time the decisions of VO are very strange.
