Canadian Student Visa (SPP or general??)

Well, this is my first post, so kindly bear with me if i commit a mistake.

I have a 7.0 IELTS score(Reading: 7.5, Listening: 8, Speaking: 7.5 and Writing:5.5). I've completed my 12th standard from CBSE - Army School. I applied for a student visa for MAY'2011 session and got a refusal. Now some people tell me that Canadian High commission has changed the checklist and now i cannot apply under SPP. But an Agent in my city says that i can apply under SPP. I'm just too confused right now as whom to trust. Please enlighten me with any genuine information that you can provide. Also give me some suggestion regarding how to apply for canada if SPP is not available. Thank you in advance.

SPP format is being continued in 2011 and you can conform this here, canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/StudentPartnersProgram_ProgrammePartenairesEtudiants-Nov09.aspx

harry very sad about ur refusal

spp is still runing, spp and general are both same

in spp u hace to show only limited things likewise
loan sanction letter,ist semester fees,edutaional docummets,medical,ielts

but in general u have to show extra documents along with above written documents
like income tax proof,saving account,balance certificate,income source,properties documents etc

onething more like u got rejection in may 2011 in spp then u r unable to apply under spp,if and only if u r apply again same intake in which u got refusal,but if u want apply in sme sessin again in which u got refusal then u have to apply under genearl
but u can apply under spp in next batch likewise september 2011.

so dont worry ,go a head,one day u will definately get visa

can i apply under spp program ?????

i completed my 12th in non med in 2010 with 65 % ,
got a score of 95 in TOEFL ibt and applied for business under spp in selkirk college in canada for jan 2011 session
but my visa got refused specifying your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of
:your qualifications ;previous studies.......now i have completed my ielts too with overall 7 bands 7.5R, 7.5L, 6W ,6S
and recieved offer letter from kwantlen polytechnic university
in CISY certificate program for september session 2011
which is 1 year duration which they have linked up with bachelor of information technology btech in which i will getadmsn directly in 3rd year after completion of my certificate program
so that i dont have any visa problem.............wat do u think abt my case..????

i am vicky from jalandhar.i have applied for canada student visa under spp on 18 march 2012.i have done b.tech in computer science engineering in 2010.i have one year and seven months work experience as help desk operator in a reputed software company in jalandhar.i am going to seneca college in may intake for advanced diploma in computer engineering technology which is further specialized course in addition to my already aquired bachelor degree in computer science engineering.i have 6.5 overall bands in ielts with 7.5 in listening,6.5 in reading, 5.5 in speaking and 6 in writting.i have already paid my first semester fee.then i took an education loan of 8 lakhs from allahabad bank.my parental income is 4.5 lacks per year.i have also done my medicals and submitted alongside visa file.

so friends what u think about my chances of getting visa??and how much time will it take for me to get visa??please reply soon......
