Every international student holding a Study Permit is obligated to be enrolled as a full time student during entire duration of stay. To fulfill this, you should continue at your college and move to new in Jan 15 but if you withdraw now from your college, you might save some money as they may give you a partial refund.
When you withdraw from a college, the college is required to provide this information to CIC and hence, CIC will know about your status and I am not sure about the consequences. You may be able to stay without being enrolled as it's a matter of 2 months but you will definitely loose your student status.
Further, as you have a valid Study permit until 2017, everything should be smooth if you continue at your college now and switch next semester. Credit transfer option, if there is one, may be worth considering. Calm down and consider all the options, in worst case all you loose is 1 semester's fee.

Even if I drop now, I am not going to get any refund now. What are the possibilities like if I get enrolled in other colleges:
1. Should I pursue short courses like french or any thing for a period of two months and later join the same college from Jan.
2. If I drop now, and didnt admit to any short courses, n if I loose my student status, Should I have to reapply to gain my student visa.
3. What are the consequences like if I have to be deported?

and i am from India.

i obtained admission in Sheridan college for jan 2015 intake.

please answer my queries:


1)can i pay money in GIC account through my uncles who are living in USA?

2)can i show my fathers Provident Fund Account(approx 45,000 CAD or 25,00,000 indian money) as a proof that i can afford my studies and stay in canada?


3) i am appling under general catogory ,so will opening a GIC account with 10,000 CAD will be of any added advantage(or should i show money equalant to 10,000 cad in my indian account...because only 1 is possible.

4)How much minimum money should i show in my indian bank account for my living costs for getting the approval


My total fess for 2 years is 29,000 CAD (16,24,000 Indian rupee).i have obtained a loan for 20,700 CAD(11,60,000) from an indian bank and i have paid the 1st sem fees of 7500 CAD.

Hi to all,
I am looking for some advice actually I want to MS/MEng in environmental engineering at UofT,McGill (top Canadian university) but my grad score is 2.5 I know its not a good one (this increases to 2.75 until the final year in 2012 ,the institute is Government Engineering College, Delhi and the course is environmental engineering & though 2.5, is considered as first class percentage in India which fulfills the graduate score requirement of McGill). I have a good 2 year work ex ,I have been actively involved in environmental moments, NGO ,good training in reputed companies, IELTS score of 7.5.
1)Can I think of universities like McGill ,U of C,U of BC etc. for MEng in environmental engineering or
2) Can you suggest me any good university other than these for which I am eligible.
3) Which is better in terms of Salary College or university like a 1 year program +1 year of work experience will be comparable to fresher job salary after 2 year MEng.
Are good university very adamant about high gpa .Has there been a similar case like mine where the only thing the graduation score( though the most important one was poor) but still got admission or anything else I can think of like going to community college and scoring good ensure a seat in the university with a good GRE accompanied or any other way or its just impossible.

I'll be really thankful to you for any information shared.

1. Any one applied Online application from pakistan?
2. I have 10 week left for a visa in pakistan-karachi is that enough or should I defer my admission for next term.
3. which method is preffered for visa? online or paper for pakistani nationals??
4. Do we need to submit scanned copies of all orignal documents is sufficient for online application or orignal hardcopy is necessary too?

I'm gonna do a brief analsyis of reasons when usually people get rejeted their visa.
I'm gonna apply my study permit at rome visa office.
I've studied 5 year computer science in Italy obtaining a Diploma.
Got admission at Lasalle in Computer Science - Administrative data processing.
_It is a specific specialisation in computer science at college level at higher level as in my high school I studied general coputer science.
So program seems to be coherent.
_I have 70000CAD in bank with regular income. So shouldn't be a problem my financial status. Further one year fee has been paid in advance so...no probs at all.
_I have never traveled. Is this a possible reason of rejection?
_In Ielts I've got 7 scoring 7 in each field. No prob here as well.
_I have a weak profile. I have been always around 60% in maths. 90% in english. 65% overall average. Every year.
_I'm Italian national.
_Currently I'm working since 2 years in a data managment company.
What are my chances guys? Need your precious advice. Which docs should I attach?

I am from Spain.
I have applyied for study permit for Canada, and the embassy has refussed my application, saying that I have not satisfied them that I would leave Canada at the end of my stay. In reaching this decision, they considerr several factors, including:
- Pursose of visit. (My purpose of visit is study sincely, I have no intention to stay there)
-Limited employment prospects in your country of residence. (I have atached a letter which says when I come back after complete that studies I have a job offer)
-Your personal assets and fanacial status. (I dont have personal assets, I am dependent of my parents, I have atached propety papers, my fathers job papers, income tax papers, monthly salary recipt)

Please tell me which kind of documents more can I attache in my next application for study permit for complete this faults.

I have reseached a lot about this, and somebody told me that right now the embassy are not giving visas to Canada, because they have limited visas per year, and this year are almost exhausted. therefore visas will open in January 2015, and then there are more chances that you get the visa then now. IS THAT RIGHT???
Please help me.

First I had nothing in mind what to do next but than made up mind to do master's from canada bcoz jobs nd all that is rlly dffct these days in india even after good degree. So checked on some canadian uni' s but got to know that deadlines were all over even for jan intake... well had never searched for that before.
So had a little of tensed and worried situation as my parents dint wanted to see me idle and asked me to decide fast for further do studies or just settle for good for nothing job here.
Than searched here and there nd was only left with college option in jan intake. Now opted for humber post grad. cert. In project management in jan 2015 and waiting for visa now.
Coming to the very main ques now is that... masters??? ... is it possible after my pg certificate as my course is only of eight months i.e till august and if i want to do masters soon after that ...is it possible???... will i be thn applying as domestic or international.... if international than do i have to apply now only as deadlines are near end for most uni. for sept intake.... further if i apply afterwards also after reaching canada for any uni whose deadline is not over... will they still be considering my bachelors in india for admission or my pg cert done in canada.... as, if they consider my bachelors than i guess i need to have in hand lot of documents for considering my admissin like l.o.r, offcl transcript etc. ..... also if they consider my pg cert. than how will i show my final result to them as my course is completing in august and i will be opting for september intake soon after that...
