i like the post. let's see what happens. they could also achieve this by forcing siblings to go with a pnp. and honeslty i think that will be better at least for me. my sibling lives in ontario and there is not a family support in ontario. so i will go through the french stream or the human capital stream.

Also, did you see, Manitoba awards lots of points for that. May be on the federal side, it might become like that.

Maybe pr would be dependant on always living in the same province as your sibling? At least for the first 5 years? I mean, you'd want to be close to them, right?

I would imagine pnps would give extra points if you had a sibling in that province, but I doubt they will give it to ee applicants

I'm sure that you might get ITA easily if you are above 380 and impacted by 2 of reforms: 1) Siblings and 2) French.

Scores might drop below 400 soon because of reduction in LMIA points.

after you become a citizen you can move. freely.

Everyone deserves a chance for ee. My best friend had to leave Canada after 4 years. She lived next door to her sister and her young niece and nephew. They were both born when she lived there with them. Her sister married a Canadian about 10 years ago.

None of this mattered when her permit ran out though. I would love and kill for her to go back to Canada but not just because she has a sibling there and she agrees with me.

im at 440 now. but i dont think score will drow below 450. only students got points, the rest of FSW wll be forced to go pnp and that's 600 points. maybe by july it will reach the 450 but that will be counted as 2018 quota.

But you will be impacted by 2 reforms anyway which is great

I think Alex and the CIC guy was right, score will drop below 400 and those with at least 380 like he said don't have to worry in Spring.

Now I realize they were both right when I saw very few bonus points that were awarded to students. This might have been so intentionally in order to drop the scores and that's why points were reduced for LMIA. After all, not all people in the pool will get bonus points. That's why score might drop below 400.

It will be LMIA points reduction that will drop it below 400.

Having a sibling in Canada doesn't mean crap if you can't speak English or French and have no education or work history. If they gave siblings "lots" of points then they would be flooded with unskilled workers!
