canadian passport processing time

guys,who applied at person for his or her passport?how long does it take.they told me 10 business day but does it take longer.is there any one who experienced it or have received it during 10 business day?

Though they ask to wait for 10 days, in most cases you will receive it by Canada post in a week or so, if no additional holidays or volumes are not turned in.
PP Canada is really doing a fast and commendable job by giving a happy ending to one long and tiring process of citizenship.

Canada Post is not only used for mailings (Xpresspost - Signature Required - CPC Tracking Number) by PP Canada but also they are one of the two approved agents where you can apply for passport. At the designated locations they review your application and supporting documentation and accept payment for Passport on behalf of PP Canada.

Though very rare, unfortunately things take strange turns at times and what you can say...

You are allowed to pickup if specifically asked and for an additional fee : Standard pick-up - C$20 - 10 business days

It is a signed delivery, no drop off. If not available at delivery, you have to pick up at post office.

Canada’s ePassport is full of iconic images that make Canadian passports more attractive and more secure. Page 35 the last page says do not stamp this page. But i have heard in many middle east country they stamp passport without looking at page randomly pick last page and stamp. What if this happens what should be our next action should we report and get replacement passport.

yeah some immigration officer just randomly pick a page on your passport and stamp it ;o) I hope they wont stamp the last page of the passport if there are spaces available

thanks to people who replied to me,it is now more than 5 days that i have sent it,still waiting.they mentioned 2 times that it will take business day because i applied in person,and if i was not available to sign the package then they will call me to pick it up at passport canada.i was just asking because under the processing time section it is mentioned that it might takes more than the times mentioned in their table

dont worry it will come, i also applied my passport personally last Oct 18, but I have no news till the time. The lady told me that they will send it by post and most probably by November 10

yeah,thanks,if you applied personally then you should receive it faster ,latest moment should be around 31st october for you ,i forgot to calculate mailing delays which is 3 to 5 business days.should be around Nov 7 for you,very close to what they told you .i am sure you will get it very soon.i applied oct 22

cant wait to my passport i want to drive to new hampshire or vermont. i have a my old passport with US visa and i heard that i can drive to US and return using my citizenship cert but I dont like taking chances :-X
