those who have made it to walk-in really hurt my heart for mailing my application last week and no CC charge yet :)
I mailed my application last week too. I am not in hurry to get the passport, just worried about the citizenship certificates.

I too got through today as well. called at 0802 - 67 callers ahead and got through after 47 mins in the querue. Business Day 25
Very similar message. No target date no tracking numbers. Agent was polite but had no information. Said we have thousands of applications and to call back next week.
At least I dont have to go and check my mailbox several times a day for this week....
Great New Guys. I think my call had an immediate impact.
I gor my passport today by Xpresspost. Both the passport and the certificate were in the same envelope.

My advise - call them. And good luck to all those still waiting...

Finally, congrats! Wow, interesting. If you like, you can check the tracking if they mailed it out right after you called....

Hello,

I've recently got my citizenship certificate and in the process of applying for a passport.

Is it okay if both of the passport photographs are stamped by the photographer?

I wanted to mail my application via Xpressport but unfortunately Canadapost (inside SDM) was closed by the time I reached (around 7 PM, Sat, July 3rd). I didn't even have letter size envelope as I was planning to use the Xpresspost envelope itself. So I just picked small passport application envelope available next to Canadapost counter, inserted my application in it after tri-folding (including citizenship certificate), bought the stamp from SDM and mailed it right away.

I took two risks that day :)
(a) Regular mail instead of Xpresspost
(b) Tri-folded Original certificate

I called Passport Canada over the last couple of days and finally they were able to find my file information in their system yesterday. Here's my timeline:

July 3rd: Application Sent via regular mail (from Toronto)
July 7th-9th: Application Received (Estimate no tracking)
July 20th: Applicated Opened/added in the system

CC is not charged yet, I will update the physical condition of my certificate and passport once I receive it (hopefully in a few weeks).
