Canadian Passport - Mail-In Application Timelines

Applied in person at Service Canada on 06-June.
Called 1-800 after 17 weeks on 03-Oct. Have travel plans.
Gurantor got called just now.

Anyone know what next and how soon?

Applied at Service Canada on June 7
Called to inquire the application status on October 4, no travel plans
An agent told me it is in production, if you dont receive your passport in 2 weeks, call again
Pretty sure yours will be sent to printing soon

Does it mean passport application approved?

When should he expect passport?

There’s no reason why a passport would be refused to new citizen.

they usually send both separately.
Most however usually receive the passport before the certificate but they should arrive soon
These days in many buildings canadapost not knocking on doors but leaving a delivery notice card instead…..so be on the watchout

I got the citizenship certificates and birth certificate back for me and my daughter on Sep 29th. I received my passport yesterday (Oct 5), no sign yet for my daughter's passport.

My reference got called yesterday. I called again today and was told passport shows in printing and to wait for a call for pickup.

We all (3 family members) applied together for the passport and mailed it on Jun 23.
Application received - Jun 27, 2022

My wife and son received their passports on Sep 9, 2022, but still waiting for Canadian citizenship certificates.
I received my Canadian Citizenship certificate on July 27, 2022, but still waiting for my passport.

I called passport customer service to check about my passport and they told me that it's under approval process and I have to wait until Oct 2022.
This is very strange that we all applied together but mine is still under process.

Did you apply for the passport without even receiving the citizenship certificates is it correct ? Are we allowed to do it.

Just called passport service line - they said daughter's passport still under examination (apparently children's passports take longer than adults). They asked me to call back in 2 weeks in case her passport isn't received by then.

Nice. Did you provide anticipated date of travel on the forms? And was it renewal or fresh passport?

I received my Citizenship Certificate in Early August.

I still haven't got my passport.

They asked if I had any travel plans, and I said yes. They asked the date and I told them 15-Oct. They didnt ask if I booked the tickets. Then they said since its past 17 weeks, we will transfer the file. You will get a call anytime between now and 48hrs prior to travel on the next steps. If they dont call, you can walk-in to the office. So tired already imagining...i am not expecting a call really based on other experiences I have read.

I was told the same thing yesterday. It has almost been 20 weeks for me....
