Finally got my passport today. Here's the full timeline:

Mailed: June 8th
Received by Passport Canada: June 9th
CC Charged: July 11th
Passport mailed: September 26th
Passport delivery attempted: September 29th
Passport collected: October 3rd

Still waiting for my citizenship certificate to be mailed back to me. :/

Well, I say sorry in advance for not having a real update. My most recent file date was 15 Sep when I gave clarifications about my application. From that date, 20 business days could mean until 17 Oct. But I started in April, so that's 25 weeks between late April and 17 Oct.

But I am quite sure my case isn't the slowest (for a lone applicant). I even changed my upcoming trip for personal reasons. My last resort could be to call again to get a file transfer in mid November the earliest.

If I had the means to, after I get the passport, I'd store it under my skin for absolute safety, given how difficult it is to get hold of this little book.

We have the same timeline! We picked our passport on sep 29th from an office but no update on certificate yet. Please let us know when you receive it.

Will do. Funny, I called in yesterday to ask about the status of my application and they let me know that Canada Post tried to make a delivery.

I did ask them about the certificate when I had them on the phone and they told me wait for at least 3 weeks and if I don’t receive it by then I should call them back.

I applied for passport trough Service Canada on May/20/2022, original document of citizenship was returned to me
I received my passport yesterday October/03/2022, passport was issued on September/27/2022 from Mississauga office in this time of waiting I called about 5 times for updates!
Guarantor or references was not called.

I have question about guarantor, it says guarantor should hold 5 or 10 years passport, my question is my daughter got her first passport 3 months ago for the first time, for 10 years, can she be guarantor or she must have it before at least for 5 years?thanks

The rule says the guarantor must have a valid passport. It does not say for how long - it just needs to be valid and be of the 5 or 10y validity.

So, yes, a person can be a guarantor with a valid 5 or 10y passport even if it was received just yesterday.

When should he expect passport?

The rule says the guarantor must have a valid passport. It does not say for how long - it just needs to be valid and be of the 5 or 10y validity.

So, yes, a person can be a guarantor with a valid 5 or 10y passport even if it was received just yesterday.

Applied in person at Service Canada on 06-June.
Called 1-800 after 17 weeks on 03-Oct. Have travel plans.
Gurantor got called just now.

Anyone know what next and how soon?
