Thanks, what did your MP say? Mine said that he can only help to transfer my application to local office provided I've proof of travel which I don't.

Shouldn’t they anyways do that without the MP’s intervention?

There are different processing times for renewals vs new passports. I think the renewals come much faster. I applied for a new passport on April 12, and still waiting.

So that means, at this point document and photo verification are all completed, right?

Correct.
My card was charged Dec 02 2021.
An agent called me Dec18,2021 to tell me that I need to send new photos.
I did sent a new one & unfortunately it never went through the right channel.
Late March of 2022, they scanned my re-sent photo....
....and am still waiting for that elusive blue passport.

Do not apply at service canada. Why not mail it to Gatineau directly???
All service canada does is to forward it to Gatineau anyway…….so cut the middle man out!

either mail it directly to Gatineau or apply at passport office in person

Do they allow to call this number in place of 6868 to know the status? Are they ok if we call on this number to inquire the status of application or any related help?

Hi, Yesterday i called to this number 18445339201 and was 12 persons ahead of me and the customer care executive was very polite and she was able to transfer my application. Also look like they have a new system in place while talking to her i understood this

- Application Sent: May 31, 2022 from Vancouver
- Application Delivered: June 1, 2022 to Gatineau
- No travel dates
- CC Charged: June 17, 2022
- Delivered July 20, 2022

I got my passport. Received it in my mailbox via xpresspost, I live in a condominium. I haven't received my Citizenship certificate yet. Passport printed on July 8.

Did people who received their passport in past two weeks get their citizenship certificate yet?
I still haven't received mine.

Got a delivery notice from Canada Post and my MP's office contacted me to ask if I'd gotten it. Need to head down to the Canada Post office to sign for it and hopefully, that's the end of it!
