I really hope not. Sorry about the predicament you are in, this sucks. . Call them and file a complaint. I hope you get your PP and certificate soon.

they acted each time like they “had to find” my application or certificate … they used these words “I was able to find your application” etc… so not far from the truth

Reading this thread, it seems the safest approach is in-person (for those who can do it). Atleast you get your citizenship certifcate to take back with you.

How long after oath are people receiving their citizenship certificates on average? A week it seems like?

My oath was on Aug 19 and on the new tracker, it still shows oath as in progress...

it took around a week from the Oath ceremony for the tracker to be updated. Then another week or two from that point to get the certificate

Finally received my daughter's (born in Canada) first passport.

Application delivered: July 6th
CC charged: July 23th
Guarantor contacted: August 9th (two previous attempts: July 26th and August 3rd)
Birth certificate received: August 20th
Passport received: August 23rd

Factoring in the 2-week delay for the guarantor to get back to them, it took just over 20 business days.

I took my oath of citizenship this morning. Next step, passport!

I've requested them to expedite my citizenship certificate (mine was UP application). Hopefully once I receive it, I'll be able to apply in-person (I have a trip coming up next week).

A friend of mine was waiting for his certificate for 2 months. Finally he managed to reach IRCC via phone and complained. They checked that said as per Canada post it was delivered a month ago. So it was considered as lost in transit, IRCC reissued the certificate and he got it within a week. Toronto.

I received citizenship certificate one week after oath ceremony. Your online status on new tracker will change to completed once they ship out your certificate.
