I got my passport yesterday I want to share my timeline. I'm from Yellowknife Northwest Territories.
App sent: 10th march
received: 14th march
CC charged: 28 April
Cit certificate back: May 3rd
Passport Received: May 6th

Passport was issue in Mississauga

Application mailed = 12th of April, 2022
Application received= 13th of April, 2022
CC charged = 6th of May, 2022

Oh here we go again. Another system where they process applications received later before they look at apps already received.

March 17,2022-Application sent via ups courier
March 18,2022- received in Gatineau office
April 25, 2022- Sent 1st request update form online- no response
May 2, 2022- sent 2nd request update form online- no response
May 4, 2022- called passport office- application with file number but haven't reviewed by an officer yet according to agent. To follow up after 2 weeks, also advised to call a different number for cc charge since i was worried my card wasn't charge yet
May 5, 2022- credit card department called ,gave file number,verified, and cc charge directly during call.

Will call again in a week. More than 50 days now

Similar timelines. Sent baby passport on Apr 01, CC charged Apr 28, Please update here when your status changes. Can we walk in to Service Canada and expedite showing the proof of travel ?

18334071031. It was less than 5 minutes. You need a file number for them to verify though.

I called earlier today, call centre agent told me that passport is sent and ready to pick up at local post office

Hello everyone..

I just completed my Oath on Friday and plan to send my passport application as soon as I receive my citizenship certificate. Just wanted to confirm that we have to send the original citizenship certificate with the application ?? or a notarized copy can be sent ?

Can a relative be a guarantor?

Can a PR holder be a reference or does it need to be a Citizen only?

Is it OK if I don't fill "8. Emergency Contact Information" on page 3 of the form.

Can we apply for a Passport at Passport Office for a normal application? I mean with no near plans for travel.

Hi, I applied in person for my sons’s passport on April 7th at the service Canada office (Richmond hill, ON) .. today was supposed to be my expected mail out date but when I finally got through to a passport office agent, she said they haven’t even Started processing my file yet. She told me to call next week to request a transfer to my local passport office and we need to travel on May 27th. I am worried that I won’t be able to talk to an agent next time I call, because it took me over 40 attempts (over a span of 3 days) to reach an agent today. Any advise on how I can speed up this process? Also anyone have any idea what date applications they are processing now.

Were can I find the file number ? Mine is mail in application.
