I called today to ask if there is some issue with my application, and was told it's still under examination and so far nothing is requested, but "it's too early" to tell if there is something wrong, and was asked to call back again in 2-3 weeks if I don't receive my application. What this implies is that they are not working on my application for some reason.
I asked if there is an expected date when my application will be finalized, I was told "we don't know because we have too many applications because of covid" BS. Of course what she means is too many applications that are more important than yours because they decided to book a ticket before applying for a passport, something I should have done myself to put them on the spot. Applying by mail 2 months before my travel's date was a HUGE mistake.
My application was received Feb 22nd, 40 days ago. I cannot believe this
Based on the conversation I had with the agent today, I don't expect to receive my passport anytime soon, not even by the end of April, and my certificate is with my application, which means I don't have anything that proves I am Canadian now
Let's see if my complaint will do anything. I don't expect much from them to be honest. Their quality of service is very poor.
