how can we transfer a file to the closest passport office?
I applied by mail for my son passport
my CC was charged on 14th April
our travel dates are 25th June.
can anyone suggest me what to do in this situation?
Why was you CC was charged on later date? Was it mail-in application?

mail out date with a delivery date any day during the week of June 13th.
...
I am flying out of the country on June 15th so I need the passport delivered on June 13th or 14th.

That's far too tight a timeline, and there's low likelihood they'll be able to tell you anything unless it hasn't gone out or even been printed.

Did you book this flight after you submitted?

When I applied in person, the first thing they asked for is a travel plan/flight ticket, I showed them the flight ticket, and after reviewing the ticket they processed my application.

The person processing my application said it will be mailed out on June 9th and that's what I have on the receipt.

We haven’t received our passports more than 9 weeks and two months. Called today and asked for status and still under examination, so requested for a transfer. Anyone knows when they will call for transfer? We are traveling next Friday !!!

My point is, the numbers don't add up - they said it would be delivered during the week of the 13th, but you depart the 15th. It should have been obvious then that there was a good chance it would not be delivered in time, because that week has the 15th, 16th, and 17th - days you say are too late. I believe you could have opted to pick up and at least you'd have known for certain.

is it just me or are there fewer appointments available? Im looking one for my girlfriend and i cannot find anything

are the wait times at the offices any better?

Hey everyone, I was able to get an appointment for the Kitchener office next Friday, May 17th at 2 pm. However. I am looking to get an appointment the week of May 20th instead. So if anybody wants to swap this appointment with me, let me know.
Please note that is appointment is for Passport Canada office not Service Canada and is valid for travel b/w 6-45 days.
Thanks

Can anyone explain what do you mean by requesting for a transfer?

Are you talking about the Canadian passport application transfer to the local passport office?

Call the line, tell them you have an urgent travel plan, request for file transfer, they may say how much it costs, most of the cases they paid a little amount 20 to maximum 50 dollars.

Your file will be transferred from Service Canada to the Local nearest passport office. Depending on the situation of the file (if it was never scanned by the service Canada, the local office wmay ask you to fill a new application), your file will be processed and choose pick up and go and pick it up on the given date and time.

they may look or take the travel plan or tickets copy at the local passport office.

We just got our passports. We applied 21 March at a Service Canada centre. End of the journey for me. Good luck everyone still waiting: it's coming!
so 21st March till 10th June, approx. 55 working days, I also called the passport Canada yesterday and after 2 hour 20 minutes on phone the person told me that realistically I will get my passports by mid of July since I applied on 27th April so no point of calling them before.

If nothing urgent, enjoy the weather , let it come when it has to come, but it has to come one day.

Hope all is well! I have 2 questions,
1. Are they still going to ask to see the proof and date of travel or any travel plan if I booked an appointment and it’s not an urgent process?
2. I am in Ontario, can I apply for passport in any location in Ontario or it has to be close to my home or the office who processed my application??
Please advise me because I booked an appointment for non urgent application like 2 hours away from my home just to avoid the line up and apply by postal mail.
Thank you so much for your time.
