There are no exceptions to this. Your only option in this case is Service Canada or mail in, but there are no guarantees on delivery date.

Within 25 days, if your plans are firm, I would suggest line up at PP Canada - you can even get them the same day. But remember, it is not for the faint hearted

I’ve heard of Kitchener and St Catherine’s being better but can’t vouch for them.

Thanks. I gather the mail-ins are now pretty unpredictable, but tending to just around two months.

I might look into Kitchener just to not be so panicked and stressed at the end.

You can book it online. Per today's observation, appointment gets booked after 7 or 8am hence you check after 6am and after 7-8pm.

If i submit application in-person with travel date for 15-20 calendar days then will get passport mailed out within 7-10 business days? Any idea about current timeline?
I cant go to pick it up and dont want to spend more if possible just for picking it up.

They shut off service during weekends i think . So try during day time during week days.
I booked on 18th for May 30th. Windsor service canada.

Hence I went to today at 4am to Mississauga office (have travel on May 18th). There were about 15 people in front of me but quickly added up and more than 100 by 6am. The office promptly opened at 8.30 and I was done with the whole process by 9.15. I opted for passport pickup option (additional $20) and got pickup date of 5/10.

Its better that you walked in as it will be difficult to get it done before travel date as waiting for appointment date itself will be of few weeks.

For travel proof, we just need to show the tickets or hotel stay for driving?

I was at PP Canada in Mississauga to collect my passport earlier today. Was there around 12 noon. Took about 15 minutes to pick up our passports.

Overheard one of the supervisor's telling the security guard that they will start giving out tokens at 8 in the morning to everyone in the line and then at 9 AM, they will go through the line and ask if anyone was travelling on the day. They will be pulled out from the line and prioritized.

In case this info helps anyone.

Its better that you walked in as it will be difficult to get it done before travel date as waiting for appointment date itself will be of few weeks.

For travel proof, we just need to show the tickets or hotel stay for driving?

I've mentioned this in an earlier post, if you claim driving to the US, you will be subjected to additional questioning like hotel etc. One guy in front of me was turned away without submission. He was driving to the US.

Have a fool proof case if using the driving option.

So today they were giving out token to anyone who was travelling June 1 or earlier. There was a guy in front of me with Jun 25th travel ticket and he was sent back.

Exactly, the security guy starting giving out token around 7.45am. And then everyone travelling today and tomorrow were lined up separately once inside.

Quick question: when you book an appointment for a passport application at Canada Passport Service office, do you need to make an appointment for each of the members of the family or one appointment is sufficient?

NEVERMIND: I called Passport Service - they confirmed you can make one appointment for up to 6 applications.

So they are not considering appointment date & travel date both included while calculating 25 business days?

I got an appointment for my spouse for 25-May & travel date is 29-June. If both appointment date & travel date are included then it is 26 business days.

Also, appointment email mentions "If you need a passport in less than 25 business days from the date of your appointment, a proof of travel or need is required. " We will need passport atleast 7 days before travel date as we have to apply for Visa as well.

Hope they accept application.
