Hi,

I had a work experience of 2.5 years in CANADA with a work permit through my company. Last Working Day in Canada was - 13-Dec-2013.

Now when I am applying for Canadian PR via Express Entry so they are replying back that profile ineligible and share following reasons:-

I have 6 score in IELTS and mentioned 20K CAD in account, Could you please help me understand the reason of ineligibility.

#############

Document:- IMM5788

Reasons you would not be
eligible for Express Entry include:
• not having a valid language test
• language test results that are more than two years old
• a language test score that is too low
• not having enough relevant work experience
• not having the required education level
• not having enough funds

Is your overall IELTS score 6? Have you scored at least 6 in each of the four IELTS categories? Or do you have any category that is below 6?

I'm Affraid you're ineligible for CEC due you were working on 2013.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp
have at least 12 months of full-time (or an equal amount in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the three years before you apply,
So, last three years starts April 2013, you have only 8 months valid experience.

Perhaps you could apply under FSW, but minimum CLB is 7

have at least 12 months of full-time (or an equal amount in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the three years before you apply.

don't know they said my profile is ineligible.

Assuming your english test was IELTS, yes it's CLB 7.

As said, you're not eligible for CEC

You could be eligible for FSW:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

Your work experience must be:

at least one year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous full-time or an equal amount in part-time,
paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships do not count),
in the same job,
within the last 10 years, and
at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 National Occupational Classification (NOC).
Your work experience is NOC 0, A or B?

If not, perhaps you could be elegible as FST.

Do you have your education assessed?
It's not needed for CEC but it's necessary for FSW/FST (I think)

Anyways be eligible is just the firts part, you'll need enough score under EE to get Invitation to apply.

Like they said, your experience for CEC needs to be during the 3 years preceding your application.

Since you haven't applied yet, at best let's say May 2016 is your application date. Then your year of experience needs to be no earlier than May 2013. In your case, from may to December 2013, you did not accumulate 1 full year of canadian experience in the past 3 years. You would have needed to apply at the latest in November/December 2015. Your experience before may 2013 does not count anymore. Sorry.

Hi Gregor,

In that case, what all possibilities that I can apply for Canadian PR. By any chance, do you have the checklist or any procedure which I can follow for PR application.

If I will be going for FSW or FST, does need to have mandatory job offer and what is the total point I should be having if applying under FSW or FST.

Kindly help me with this.

You have to read about FSW and FST at CIC website

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/index.asp

And this forum, as well.

First thing you probably will need is to have your education assessed (ECA), I think it's compulsory for FSW/FST.

but before expend time and money be sure education meet required level

Confirm other requirements (experience, NOC levels, funds. ..)

A job offer with LMIA, will definitely help you to get PR, you'll get 600 points, enough to get ITA as per current draws.

Job offer It's not compulsory for FSW nor for FST if you have Provincial certificates (hard to get it).

Without job offer will be hard to get ITA.

Other option for PR: Quebec, PNP, Ontario French stream. ..

If you speak French, since June, Job offers for some "remote" areas of Quebec will be LMIA exempt, being easier to get a temporary WP, establish and try to get PR (bit job offer or current job without LMIA doesn't provide 600 points as far I know)

Did you applied for PR on June 2015 or did you created a profile in June 2015?

Anyways, you was elegible for CEC until 13 December 2015 (1 year worked within 3 previous: 13 Dec 2012-213), after that date you don't have 1 yeras experience within last 3 years.

Profile should be active, I guess for a year, just check it, but will be not eligible for CEC anymore

So far you don't meet eligibility yet, CIC is asking you to register at job bank, so do it.

Job bank allows you to be in a pool of candidates, where employers can pick you up and then you can get a Temporary WP and a chance to PR (if you meet all requirements )

Be sure to meet all requirements for FSW /FST.

Possibility of a WP depends on your job area and training, some professional are still needed in some provinces.

Look for available positions on Job Bank and other websites like Monster, Indeed, Canada jobs... just state in your cover letter you're a foreigner which need a WP to work and apply for PR.

Also look in your expertise area companies websites for careers, bigger companies are more likely to have LMIA for WP.

Other ways:
- ICE, if less than 35 years and depending of your country
(International Experience Canada)
- Province/Territory inmigration programs.
- Student Permit (very expensive, college fees and life), you can work partial time when studying, after 1/2/3 years studying here getting your graduation, you'll get a PGWP for 1/2/3 years
- Co-Op, similar to student but shorter (typically to learn english), without PGWP after finish. I'm not sure if exist anymore

Hello Guys,

I was promoted to Night Clerk Supervisor 6313 - NOC B - on April 7, 2016. As I understand, I need one year of experience to be eligible to apply for CEC.
On April 7th, 2017 it's gonna be exactly one year so I can apply right on this day. However, my Post-Graduate Work Permit expires on May 8th, 2017... Is there a way to extend my Work Permit Once I applied? What do people do if their post-grad work permit is about to expire?

Thanks,

Did you get ITA?
Congratulations!

That means just they are probably not working on your application yet.

I know it's hard, but after applying it's nothing you can do except worry or relax, better try to relax, check your profile not too often.

You'll recieve emails when something changes, note you'll receive some "ghost" emails (no changes in your profile after the email), that usually Menasha someone was working on your file.

Good luck!
