@jes_ON , @21Goose

One other small doubt. 3 of the 7 duties mentioned in my NOC code are mentioned with almost the same wordings on my employment letter.
I hope not all the points from the NOC's duties need to be mentioned on the employment letter.

I have only 3 points mentioned on the employment letter. Those are there in that NOC's duties which has a total of 7 points. I could pick only 3 out of 7 that actually matched with what I did there. And my ex-boss is a mean person so I knew he would let me write anything extra :( Can it be a problem?

Your employment reference letter has to prove to the officers satisfaction that you actually did the job you're claiming points for. If your letter doesn't show this, it can be an issue. It's hard to say without seeing your letter, but if you are only able to match 3 out of 7 duties, it does raise the question whether you've chose the right NOC.

In that case, I can just hope things to go fine as I can't claim anymore duties from that list. I am an architect and used 2151 code. There is no other possible NOC code for me. They have written a line before coming to the duties saying- " An Architect performs some or all of the following duties".
So I just hope it will be fine.

@21Goose @jes_ON
Now it's really freaking me out.
What can I do? I can explain situation here once again--

I worked for two offices. The first one for 11 months and current one for 2years &1 month. That makes it 3 years in total.

My employment letter from first job states only 3 points under duties and responsibilities. However, the NOC I claimed for states a total of 7 points. So, its less than 50 percent match.

I cannot claim anymore duties from that list. I am an architect and used 2151 code. There is no other possible NOC code for me also. They have written a line in the NOC code before coming to the duties saying- " An Architect performs some or all of the following duties".

What can be done other than requesting my ex-boss to add points? He is a really mean person and no matter what happens, he won't help me. This job's duration was 11 months only.

I do not understand how you came to the conclusion that you have to match the same number of points, and if you don´t it´s a bad match. That is not a major concern. You have to be concerned that (a) you have chosen the correct NOC code (as stated elsewhere, I think you are 2251), and (b) that there is enough evidence to support that claim. Letter of reference, supporting documents (e.g. license or certification, salary / wage statements, tax documents, contract...)

Yes - approx. 60% of YOUR duties would have to match - since you only have 3, that would be 2 out of 3 : )

@jes_ON

Okay understood. so discussion is over for percentage of points Matching.

Now coming to confusion between 2151 &2251 NOC-

The employment requirements vary in these two. I had a bachelor's degree in architecture when I worked there. For Architectural technologist's job degree is not needed.
Do you think they will consider this?

Architects and Architectural technologist's are actually very close jobs. It's just that Architectural technologist's don't have 5 year bachelor's degree in architecture. They do diploma in Architecture.

My job letter mentions my designation as Architect and the NOC code 2151.

Do you think writing a point in LOE that makes it clear to them that I have used 2151 NOC code and not 2251 because I had a bachelor's degree in architecture can save me a little?

They will primarily consider the job duties and responsibilities. And if you are talking about foreign work experience, they CANNOT consider the "employment requirements". Further, minimum requirements do not prohibit higher qualifications.

Architects and Architectural technologist's are actually very close jobs. It's just that Architectural technologist's don't have 5 year bachelor's degree in architecture. They do diploma in Architecture.

You are focusing on the wrong thing - you MUST FOCUS on the job duties and responsibilities. NOC 2151 has greater authority and decision-making responsibility than 2251.

My job letter mentions my designation as Architect and the NOC code 2151.

Do you think writing a point in LOE that makes it clear to them that I have used 2151 NOC code and not 2251 because I had a bachelor's degree in architecture can save me a little?
Well, a LOE about the two NOCs you considered MAY help; the problem is that you are justifying your choice based on the wrong criteria. It has to be justified based on the job duties and responsibilities. Your LOE can also mention your former employer´s lack of cooperation in providing a more detailed letter.
