Canada work permit holder drive US plated car back to US

Hi,

I just finished my work in the States on my US work visa. After gaining my Canada work permit, I am planning to drive back to US to pick a few things up with my USA plate car and USA driver's license. I will use temp. visitor US visa(b1/b2) to enter US by road. Will that pose any issues?
Anyone has similar experience?

No. I've done that multiple times. As long as you have the paperwork of the car saying the owner of the car adn the registration is you, they won't bother you. Infact they might not even ask you whose car is this.

I've driven my girl friend's car (which is US plate on her name) multiple times back and forth at the border.

You can always say, that You're going back to wrap up thigns and once you get the Canadian local state plate, you'll mail the plates back to US DMV

Thank you for your response. Really appreciate it. Were you using US driver's license to cross the border at that time? Or does that matter?
