I checked the site today and its closed.Thanks to any of the all 1000 people who viewed this site or did the survey, all of us that is going through this heartache it's a struggle and I hope all our inputs helped.This is what it says now ........

Study shows Canadians still supportive of immigration

A recently released study regarding immigration found that Canadians are still supportive of immigration. The study, which was released by Montreal's Institute for Research on Public Policy (IRPP) found that Canada continues to be a welcoming place for newcomers, with the many Canadians showing support for high levels of immigration.

It's official. I just finished taking it and it IS the cic website with the cic banner across the top of all pages though I am quite sure they outsourced the survey data collection to another company.

One caution though if you take it. There are several questions were you are asked to rank the importance of something using 1-6, 1 being most important to 6 least important. Then they ask a question were it is switched and 1 is least important and 6 is most important. Definitely a design flaw there!

Also, it does take time to read the backgrounder and 45 minutes to take the survey. There is a LOT of reading so chose a quiet time without distractions. There is a save and come back to later option, but I didn't try it.

This order switching is not a design flaw, it's a research technique used to minimize the results being skewed by people just using the same answer for all questions

Wow, good point, but was this order switching done for only one question, and if so, would that be enough to convince the person reviewing the results that this was a survey taker that just clicked on the same number rather than someone who overlooked the reversal of 1-6 but was genuinely responding to each question? Also, I love zouk music

Agree...this reversal is usually done for about half of the questions. I can only guess that perhaps there was reason to believe that doing it on this particular question held enough significance?
