Its difficult to be honest.

I would say both countries offer social benefits net... like child care at certain age, universal medical care... but then AU looses as it remote, but Canada looses as its quite cold and many places such as Saskatoon or Winnipeg are quite remote too :)

I know personally that AU has better paid jobs, but houses are more expensive and cost of living is higher.

Both countries are good for immigration, just need to understand what you exactly looking for.

Check out HSBC's expat survey. Allows you to compare countries under different criteria and also has detailed country profiles.

Mate, download tax calculator and see what you are getting, say from 80k (USD conver to local currencies). Thats employee taxes explained.

Now, in terms of benefits, what do you need to know?

If you so curious you can spend a 30 miutes reading. 100s of BLOGS on Google talking about systems in CA and AU.

Did you even look at the link I posted?

This tool has the income taxes for a lot of countries, including Australia and Canada:
https://www.expat.hsbc.com/1/2/hsbc-expat/expat-experience/expat-finances/global-tax-navigator#!/AU

Here's even more info:
https://expatexplorer.hsbc.com/country-guides/australia/money#

For childcare benefits, you'll probably have to do some research yourself - can't be that hard to find.

Well based upon links mentioned herein, it is easy to deduce that In Canada take away salary is more than Australia by a decent margin of 25.9%. That is, a serious margin.

But In contrast , for new immigrants in the first two years in Canada , you avail to take the unemployment benefit where in Australia you are not able to capitalize this benefit only after 2 years , even the daily expenditures in Canada is less than Australia
Furthermore after lone investigation , the child care benefit rate (free tax) in Canada is more than Australia
and the yearly taxes scheme ( Federal taxes + State taxes ) in Canada are slightly less than Australia.

That is what I can conclude , anybody knows more please share here

Take away salary means the salary which you are able to get after deducting taxes. So you should not say "in contrast" actually you too, are writing the benefits of Canada.

Thanks for the information guys. To add to those above points please be aware that unlike North America, Australia has racism problem; though it depends on case to case.

I was trying to clarify that there are additional benefits beside your salary ( free taxes ) in Canada better than Australia , accommodation in Australia is more expensive than Canada
Ultimately , I am trying to have realistic conclusion " which one is better " from the aspect of TAXES & BENEFITS
