Canada Visitor Visa status

Hi,

I have submitted my application on July 15th and got confirmation from CIC that it was received. After which the application status is in "We are currently reviewing if you meet the eligibility criteria".

I have planned to travel by Aug 12th.

Can someone please let me know how long it will take for the processing.

Thank you for the link. Since the Visa process said 25 days of processing time, I had booked my confirmed tickets with return journey included. My date of travel is 7 days from now. What should I do? Is there any way to reach the embassy and expedite the procedure? This can cause me a huge lose of money.
