I do agree that booking tickets would help. Sometimes the visa is given for only 1 week and the trip takes 2, so they need to reapply. A fully booked itinerary is a good way to establish intention and to raise chances of getting the transit visa with the appropriate validity for the trip.
When the OP applies for a transit visa, he must include a copy of the booked air tickets + state the number of times he will be entering Canada + state the dates and times for each entry

Yes, it is a preferred.

Nonetheless CIC understands that tickets might not be bought at the time of the application. This always depends on supporting documentation, of course.

As mentioned booked tickets help with transit visa validity. Regardless of plans, if CIC is not satisfied of travel plans/support documentation, they can issue a visa for shorter than the planned trip. I have seen this happen twice with non-booked itineraries.

Best of lucks to OP.

While this may apply to TRV applications, it does not apply to transit visas.

CIC asks for evidence of ticket bookings, including the dates and times of entry/exit into Canada. This is stated on the CIC website as well as the Visa Office Instructions

Yes I do have Mexican original marriage certificate as well as Indian. We both are photographers and our business depends on families and friends around so we don't have any registered company but we do earn so there is no way we can show our business but I can show bank statement that has enough money to go and come back.
I didn't come here to study or don't work in any company but we both work enough to get enough money but no way I could show that.
Why I wanna go via USA or Canada is because ticket costs me around 1300$ but if i go via other routes then its double.

Bank statement is good. Provide at least 3 month statements which show constant deposits.

Maybe for other visa offices, but for Mexico the info is quite clear:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5878E.pdf

If your stop-over (transit) in Canada is less than 48 hours, provide a copy of the itinerary and the visa to the destination country, if applicable. If you take a cruise that will stop at a Canadian port, you must apply for a Temporary Resident Visa (not a transit visa). The TRV is required, whether you intend to go ashore or not.

Copy of itinerary is enough, but booking is preferred.

To quote from the CIC website:
Transit Visa: is required for persons travelling through Canada for less than 48 hours on their way to another country.
Note: To obtain a transit visa you must provide specific evidence of your travel itinerary from your transportation company or travel agent.

Thanks very much to everyone who helped me in that:)

Last thing that if I get Canadian transit visa, do I have to depart from the same airport in Canada where I landed or can I change airport in Canada within 48 hours?
