Dear Applicants,

Can anyone share information about Universal Child Care Benefit given by Canadian Government?

Thanks

UCCB is a monthly payment of $100 per eligible child under the age of 6 years.
to be eligible you must be here in Canada at least 18 months.

Where did you read that you must be in Canada for at least 18 months before a landed immigrant can claim UCCB?

Effective as of January 1, 2015, the UCCB will be $160 per month under the age of six. Children aged 6 through 17 will receive up to $60 per month. New and enhanced.... :D :D

Do you have any idea if those landed immigrants are eligible for CCTB and UCCB after they land or they have to wait for 18 months before they can start to receive it?

I am already a landed immigrant and am receiving these benefits. You will have to apply for them as soon as you land and should be receiving these benefits in a matter of 3-4 months (which includes the payment from the day you landed). Hope this helps!!

but im still receiving 100$, did you receive more this month?

just read this perfect enhancements

The UCCB enhancements would take effect starting January 2015 and would begin to be reflected in monthly payments to recipients in July 2015, pending parliamentary approval of the necessary legislation. The July 2015 payment would include up to six months of benefits to cover the January to June 2015 period

Thanks Canada :)

You don't have to be in Canada for 18 months to be eligible if you are a PR.

No, it is still $100, but the balance due will be paid in July 2015.
Hopefully, :) :)
Thanks Canada!!
