Canada student visa

Hello
I want to ask why canada visa processing is taking so much time at present like 70-70 days.... I want to apply for januray intake and will submit my application in january.... Bcz i want to visit canada in october as i have to attend family function.... Any guesses whether processing will take this much time for january januar applications too?? And one more question is there any issues at airport if i visit in october to canada or is it okay at that time?

no problem at all. if you have valid canada visit visa then you may travel in and out without any trouble. if you apply study permit before visiting canada then upon their questions you can honestly tell them that i have submitted my application and its under review, i could come applying study permit as no body know what my intentions are actually. so being honest is the best thing. Just dont submit your passports along with application if you wish to travel for family business. One more thing. Its true that now a days IRCC taking too much time to process applications, so sooner is better. apply atleast before 3-4 months to get it on time.
