Folks,

Anyone traveled recently on Student visa, please share their experience here. I heard that some students are denied entry because of online classes and asked to go back to home country recently.

Where did you hear that? I only read a few stories of students from Vietnam, Dubai and Italy who had arrived recently and let in without much hassle. It made me change my plans and I am traveling in the end of the month.

Are you sure the CBSA officers denied their entries and not that it's just the airlines refusing to let them board their flights?

I have heard that too. Its all luck actually. A friend of mine went with her classmate. She got allowed in but her classmate was told to sign a voluntary departure form and go back to india on her own expense. They both had the same documents and same officer and they were in queue together. I heard its happening more at Toronto airport. Its such a shame.....

I am assuming that Toronto port of entry is going to be much more stricter than Montreal and Vancouver. If you are landing in Toronto, just know that there's a 50/50 chance that you will not be allowed to enter in to Canada. Wait a month or so before you plan on doing something.
