Canada PR - UK visa

My friend is a canadian PR He has two separate tickets - Delhi to London Heathrow and then London Heathrow to Montreal.

Does he need visa for UK if he is departing from London within 24 hours?

Most likely, yes, but I'd advise to check with the embassy in India.
One thing is for sure: if he is a citizen of India then he'll need the visa. I just don't know if the Canada PR makes a difference. Also keep in mind, there are 2 transit visa types, depending on if you have to go through border control or not (do you claim your bugggage for a connecting flight or not?)

Again, have him check with the embassy.

No transit visa required for Canada PR with Indian passport.

You will need your PR card.

US/Canadian PR both allow many passport holders to transit through the UK without transit visas. One of the perks
