My mom is currently visiting Canada and is on a visitor visa. She landed on Feb 15 and her six months was completed on Aug 14 (5 days ago). In between, we travelled to US via car for a day in April, her visa was not stamped but they did process it by looking at her status and we were able to cross the border and re-enter. She has her flight booked in the next two weeks. We got confused between the dates and lost track of time. My concern/question is whether we need to apply for an extension or restoration before she leaves in two weeks or would she be okay to leave without applying given that it was only a couple days over. I will be applying for her super visa once she is back in her home country. Will they deny the visa since she has overstayed?
In addition, I’m not sure if her 6 month would be renewed given that she did leave the country for the day and re-entered since on the website it does say that it resets. She is also on a multiple entry visa and travels very frequently in and out of Canada, this is the first time we are facing this issue.
Appreciate your help on this, thank you.
