Canada Multiple entry visa

Please help.

I have 5 years multiple entry visa to canada. I entered on 20th May 2010 to canada. I know the length of stay is 6 months from the day of entry to canada.

I also know that I have to quit canada and re enter , after every six month.

I didn't get USA visa so I can not go to USA and come back to canada. To go back to India is expensive and time consuming.

My question: What should I do if I want to stay longer? Can I go to Canada border ( by road ) and return back to canada?

You can apply for an extension at CPC Vegreville (may or may not be approved but would buy some more time). Current processing time is 65 days. You'd be on implied status until you received a response from Vegreville.
