It makes me tense when I read timelines of people.. People who applied in 2010 and even earlier are still and waiting for a TCS or email from CHC ISB. Is it really worth sacrificing 2 years of your married life to settle in Canada? and the torture of waiting for CHC Islamabad mails for an unpredictable time? It's like giving your married life in the hands of GORA's in the CHC ISB.
It's OK for them whose spouses are Canadian citizens and can live with them here in Islamabad while case is being processed.. but whose spouses are on PR cant even leave Canada.. That's cruel. Two Years is a LOT of time in married life.. Life is not that long and early marriage years are the GOLDEN days in a person's life... I think it's a real sacrifice for those who are doing it... and I hope Canada would really be a paradise where all your dreams can come true... otherwise I feel it would not be a deal worth making. Because when you get your visa you would be leaving friends and family in Pakistan. So both ways (waiting for visa or getting visa) there are sacrifices involved.
BTW I am asking these questions because my wife is a Permanent resident of Canada and It has been almost 3 years of my marriage and I choose not to apply for immigration because it required that we stay apart. But now she is appearing for her citizenship and is in Canada for the same reason. I am thinking to put up my case now so that by the time she comes back my case will keep on getting processed and meanwhile she will stay here with me. This way we wont be bothered how long it takes.
Do you guys ever think how (good or bad) life would have been if you had married a spouse from within your city and lived a life without even having a Pakistani passport issued for yourself
What are your comments friends? Is it really worth it? Plz share your views on Pros n Cons on marrying a person abroad and then leaving your country and family behind? What do you people think about my strategy?
