Hi,theatan said:Hi There guys, thank you so much for the suggestions and sharing your own experiences.
Actually I know somebody who is a consultant, but in most cases like mine, I haven't met the consultant personally. Though a friend was referred them to me. It's accepted that they're reliable because they are licensed Canadian Consultant based in Canada, but the main thing is they are asking for too much fees, where in fact coming from you, they don't really do a lot of things when it comes to your application. In the case that the consultant arranges my "job description", and since I only have 1 year work experience as of now, would it be a matter to the CIC when they review my application? Would it be a factor in approving my application?
I can read the website of canada immigration. But in addition to that please help me to know the steps in applying for the FSW category. Can somebody helpful enough on where I should get started? Thank you very much!
Thank you so much saki for that very helpful suggestion. I will thouroughly read about the link you have sent me. If I have further questions, please allow me to ask you more! cheers =)saki said:Hi,
CIC does not give any special consideration to those who applied through consultant so there will be no effect, below is the link to the thread which explains everything you need to know. If you still have any question just post it and we will be happy to answer you.
Cheers

Thank you casey for sharing your experience. Thanks for giving me an idea. Just a question, when did you submitted your application?casey31 said:Hi,
I have hired a consultant and paid 60k for lousy service. All they did was give me a checklist and mail my docs to the embassy. BUt when the embassy asked additional requirements specific to my case they were not apply to answer my queries. All they did was ignore me. I was asking for guidance as to what to prepare etc for I had trouble in my spouse NBI remark etc and the embassy asked additional requirements, in the end I ended up asking our own lawyer who is not also familiar with the processing. Then when I turned into the forums for assistance they were able to give me specific answers. Just too bad I was able to send the docs already to the embassy. IF only I have known earlier, I could have submitted other docs for it was the last letter they will send me accdg to the embassy before they come up with a verdict on our case. Until now, no result yet from the embassy. SO stay away fro CIC cebu: consultant: initial R.A. If you opt for their service choose another consultant.
usually you can send an email to the Canadian Embassy in Manila to inquire about the status of your application and if you need to submit additional documents. do this if November 6 has passed and you do not hear from them still. here's the link:Kympet said:Hello Im new here but I started applying my application for FSW last april 2010 and send all the document in manila office last august 9, 2010, and they emailed me to confirm that they received my my papers last august 17, 2010.
