but i can see that 2281 is level B job.
will that affect searching for a Network engineering job with level A (more professional), like working with Networks vendor (like Cisco, Juniper ..) or System Integrator (like Cisco Partners) ?

Also I will change my job next month to start working with a big Cisco partner as Senior Network Security Engineer, my job duties would be pre-sales, design, and implementation, would this considered to be 2147 ?

As I have said earlier you need to compare your current Job Description with NOC 2147 and NOC 2281. Select which matches the most.

Remember one thing, Your Application will be processed on the NOC for which you have applied for, later on if you changes the Job and if its of different NOC, it will not effect your application.

Can someone tell me, please, if a telecommunications network technician is included here?

what i do: Manage the telecom network of a client (imagine Bell/Verizon) using an alarm system and fix issues remotely or by sending a field technician and giving him instructions

- This is not only LAN/WAN network as we deal with the whole provider's system (from fixed access to the core network to routers to radio antennas)
- This is not service desk as I am not dealing with end-clients (users of our client's network - a.k.a the guys talking on phones)

Any feedback appreciated! Aside from 2281 I found no other group I belong to.

Hi I am newbie to all of this so bear with me,

Heres my breakdown:

Age: 31

Education: Intermediate (C.E.C 2002) I have studied full time 3YRS course of (B.COM) but have some back logs(2002-2005) so not completed

Work Exp: 7+years as System Admin

NOC : 2281

IELTS: Planning to write after assessment of my chances (will I require 7 or 8 or 9 depending on my education qualifications)


they pay me salary in cash will it be any problem and what are the things i should get from my company (offer, hike etc....)

I have only my brother as a family member in canada (both my parents are expired) will it be any consideration he is on WP (less than 1 month)
