Hi Guys,
Just to share my landing experience at Coutts Alberta as it might be helpful for someone.
Our PPs arrived in Ottawa on 1 March and we received back on 11th March. Yesterday (March 14th) we (i, my wife and son) have landed at Coutts. Our little daughter (born in Canada) also accompanied us. At american border, they asked us the reason (which was just to land in Canada as PR) and then took passports for all of us including my daughter who have Canadian passport. Latter we were asked to park our vehicle and come inside building. Officer read our passports thoroughly and asked numerous questions about purpose of visit, profession in canada, income, ties in US and any future plan to visit US etc. Finally after half hour he returned passpost with a letter stating refusal to enter US. Then, he escorted us to Canadaian side.
At Canadian side, officer asked us the purpose and called us inside building. she took our passports, CoPRs and our current and past permits (nothing else). She didn't ask any other question and then asked us to sign copr. After that, she took 20 minutes to complete paperwork and returned our PPs and congratulated us on becoming PR..............that's it.
Journy is over
