Hi all,

My CoPR will expire by September 2020, thus I do have time in that case. However, our flights are booked on 7th April from Kolkata, India. Anyone who has received any "written confirmation" that CoPRs are not considered as PRs and thus can/cannot land - Please inform us all.

I think, more people have been affected by this rather than by COVID-19 :p Hope the situation cools down faster!
Does not have to be written given until you land you are not a PR , have no PR rights and could worst case be refused a landing by CBSA regardless of the COVID situation.

Suggest you check directly with the airline, not easy at the moment, given they will have specific board/no board instructions assuming flights have not been cancelled of course given airlines are cancelling significant number of flights some as many as 75-80 percent of their schedules due to lack of demand and they will not fly near empty planes

IRCC have I believe put in place an exception process through submitting a webform to cater for travel restrictions due to COVID

Canada Banned entry to all except Citizens and PRs from today. I was to land on 21st March and CoPR expiring on 31st March? Are CoPR holders allowed to land?
What can i do now ? :(

I successfully landed today 3/16/2020. Trudeau said on 3/16/2020 that Canada will ban, but did not specify when specifically the ban would be effective. There are rumors that it will be effective starting Wednesday, 3/18.

My suggestion is that you buy a new flight ASAP and land in 3/17.

You won't be allowed, you are not PR or citizen

Web form is the only solution to get this extended . You should have to inform them immediately to extend your entry for 3 months as officially said.

No need to panic guys, as Canadian govt. has banned entry for all non-Canadian its not your fault anymore. Raise a webform and let them know that you can not travel due to COVID-19 outbreak and Ban on non-Canadian to entry Canada.

They are asking you to raise another webform when are you able to travel, so all in all this may delay your travel by few weeks.
