because no one answered my question, I tried to delete the topic I couldn't.

the question again:
my husband is sponsoring me to canada,
in the applications that we fill for the embassy
some questions about where i lived since 18 years old
I was born and lived in country (A) till the end of the first year of my university study, and for 3 years after that I was going just for 2 month to do the exams,
then I did not travel to anywhere, I am living in country (B) till now.
in the aplication I wrote that I am liveing in country (B) since I became 18 till now. Because I did not live in country (A) more than 2 month after I became 18 years old. They said 6 month so I did not write any thing

in the last email from the embassy they ask me to give them my transcript from the university, I gave it to them and I wrote this sentence
that I am living In country (B) since 18 years old and I was going just to do the exams for less than 2 month.

Do you think they will ask me to bring a police certeficate from that country, it is so difficault and I cant go there AT ALL because there is no security in that country, also now I do not know anyone there.

First of all, it sometimes takes longer for people to respond, I see you had it up for two hours. Most people on here work or have children, so it can take a few hours/days to get a response. So please be patient.

Second, you more than likely will NOT need a police certificate, as you didn't live there for longer than 6 months.

I think you need a police certificate from country A....You can ask help to country A embassy to get your police certificate...or you can explain to CIC that you can't go to country A to get a police certificate because it is not safe to travel there.

You will only need a police certificate from country B as you have lived there since you were 18.

This is from the CIC website

Who needs a police certificate?
In general, you and everyone in your family who is 18 years of age or over need to obtain a police certificate. You must obtain a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.

The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application.

If the original certificate is neither in English nor in French, submit both the certificate and the original copy of a translation prepared by an accredited translator with your application.

Based on the information you've provided, there is a possibility you may be asked to provide a police certificate for country A. I say this for 2 reasons:
1. You spent about 2 months there each time you went for exams and this went on for 3 years. Perhaps you had to be there more than once in a year to write exams? This isn't 6 consecutive months per se but depending on the country a visa officer may want more information.

2. visa officer's discretion - I know this from my own experience having been asked for information about the year before I turned 18.

I would suggest that you begin making attempts to obtain a police certificate just in case. You have to list the trips to country A in your personal history and travel information anyway.

This is a tricky question actually.

I would interpret as you DO need police certificate's from BOTH countries. Reason I think this is because CIC states where you have lived longer than 6 months SINCE your 18th birthday. I interpret that because you were 18 when you lived in country (A) then they will count the prior 6 months. Once again as I said this is a tricky question but from what CIC state if you hit 18 and have lived in that country for 6 months prior to your 18th birthday you will need 1.

Anyway as the last poster said to remove any element of doubt you should obtain a certificate then it is impossible you will be wrong. :D

its best to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. I know its not a great answer but there is a lot of truth to it.

The CIC and the visa office have accepted what you have sent in so far, so there is a very good chance they will not ask for a police certificate from country A. I would try not to worry about it, but be prepared that they might ask - the visa officer doing your file can ask for almost anything, really.
So I would not ask the visa officer if he/she wants it - let them think of it first. Probably they won't ask for it. But maybe just in case make a few inquiries to see how you could get the certificate if asked.
