I am about to buy a car and was just wondering if I would have any problems getting insurance on that car because I have international driver licence and not canadian.
I am here in Alberta as temp worker.
Thanks

Absolutely yes. There should be no problem with getting a vehicle insurance. However, as a temporary worker, I assume that you will need to get a Canadian driver's license after a certain time (for some countries international driving permit is valid for 3-6 months while abroad).

It is 90 days for Alberta. I am here already 5 months and that means I am not allowed to drive.
But can I register the car with that driver license?

You will need to get an Alberta licence because you are technically not longer legal to drive. They will check.
