Hello everybody, mi name is Edgar, I am studying Electronics, I am from Venezuela and I will graduate next year...
As most of you know, the situation in Venezuela is really hard, so I will like to know if I can ask for asylum in Canada and what are the requisites for it.
When I get graduated I don't want to live here anymore, the conditions that are live are really, really hard.
I saw that if you have suffered from violations of human rights, you can ask for asylum, and that's what I want to do, I only have 17 years and I've seen a gun pointed at me four times, either for take my pertenences or to threat me...
When I go to the institute, I almost always can see someone getting stealed.
I had hepatitis A, and I was supposed to go to the hospital and check my liver, and I couldn't because the hospital told me that I need to be hospitalized and on emergency, otherwise they won't check me.
I live on the downtown of Mérida, and every night, I can hear how someone gets robbed, and the police arrives 30 minutes later, and all the services are horrible, the salary is not enough, it doesn't matter how much money you win, it's not enough to eat correctly, and even if you have the money, you will have to wait on lines of 5 hours at least and according to your ID's final number, you can buy some days.
The water and electricity services don't work, they fail a lot and it's unpredictable when they are going to fail, you can suffer of cuts of it, and can be for hours or even days, no one knows...
On resume, what I see and live in Venezuela is insecurity, lack of food and medicines, services like water and electricity malfunctioning and negligents.
I don't want to be here anymore, I don't want to go to the streets without knowing if I am going to get home OK.
If someone can help me on this, that would be really awesome, and I will be very thankful for it...
Thanks for reading and for your time...
