PLEASE

This should not be a problem

I brought 1kg of curry powder from south africa into the us and then into canada.
When i told them i had dried spices they didnt seem concerned.
Its the live food like fruits etc they dont like because it brings bugs and disease.
If its dried and sealed you should be ok.

Hey,
Sorry for the late reply, yes I did land recently and the whole experience was painless. Landed in Montreal, the immigration officer was really helpful and welcoming, asked basic questions (my address,if goods were to follow,if had more than 10.000$,etc), nothing to be worried about, signed some papers and WELCOME TO CANADA! the whole process took no longer than 15mins.

hope it helps.
