Talk to the airline there is a 99.99% chance you will be refused boarding with an expired passport. Unless it is a Greek passport.ms12001w said:ohh thank god! ???![]()
I agree! Unless you have a valid passport, your boarding will be denied. Alternatively, you can get a travel document from your Embassy. You should be able to read about this on the airline website before you buy the ticket.screech339 said:As PMM said, I think you will be likely to be denied on the plane with an expired passport. You would need to go to your embassy and get a travel document to be able to board the plane.

It "MAY" work if you are on direct flight to your home country but I sincerely doubt it. If you are on a connecting flight, airlines surely are not going to let you board. But I think it is up to the airlines' decision on what's their passport policies are.sazamizi said:I have the same issue ! As for long while I have been waiting for CIC to call me for the test, I couldn't renew my passport.
I had searched a bit around and my understanding you can only once use your expired passport to go back home . If you show your ticket from Canada to your home country to airlines and they are not stupid (hope not) they have to accept it. It's a rule!
If you think you get into trouble, you should pre-check with the airline before re-arranging your flight.

Cheers,
Great! However, I hope you have the name and the digital number of the airline agent who gave you that information. Just in case that you have a problem at the airport.ms12001w said:i phone the airline and they said that its fine travelling my my recently expire passport to home country...i have a connection with the same airline in Europe.
Good to hear. I am assuming it is a direct flight.ms12001w said:i phone the airline and they said that its fine travelling my my recently expire passport to home country...i have a connection with the same airline in Europe.
