Can sponsor leave during sponsorship application?

This might have been answered in another thread but couldn't find it - apologies if i'm asking same question again! Is the sponsor allowed to leave Canada while Inland Common-law Sponsorship application is in progress? Will leaving affect the application? Sponsor is a citizen and would be going to US for 5 days to visit family.

You can go to the US for a visit. It will not affect the application.
