Can someone please provide input on this situation?

I am an Indian student with a student permit in Canada who arrived in September. My girlfriend holds an Indian passport and is now in the U.S on a J1 visa to do her post doctoral program. She wants to apply for a TRV to visit me for Christmas and New Years and will be staying with me. I presume I am not eligible to provide an invitation letter since I havent been staying in Canada for more than 6 months. Is there any way she can apply for a TRV without an invitation letter (what are the chances of getting it?) and if so is there a particular rule we need to follow to apply for a tourist visa for her like funds and anything else such as proof of hotel reservations to prove she can stay in Canada by herself?

If u cant provide her with an invitation she needs to show she has enough money, hotel reservation, and proof that she will go back to USA
