Yes she can!

I would recommend her to apply the multiple entry so she can stay longer than the single entry.

Good luck.

Not really a senior, but still...:)

The criteria for a visit visa is that the applicant is sure to leave the country once the visa expires. Your marriage and your PR application would indicate that your spouse would stay permanently. This can cause a refusal for visit visa (however, this would in no way impact the pr application process).

I would recommend that you wait till you are approved as a sponsor of your wife and then ask her to apply for the visit visa. This way there are less chances of her being denied a visit visa.

Your spouse can definitely apply. However there's no guarantee the visa will be approved. Unfortunately many are refused.

And will advise you to just wait for your spousal visa approval.

Hello san_river

I too looked into getting a visit visa for my wife, while I wait for PR visa. Like you my application is in the Amman VO, and the 20 month wait is a lot. I asked several lawyers regarding this issue, and they all told me the same thing. Even though it is possible the chances of getting one are very slim. The idea here is there is no guarantee the applicant will leave if asked or when the visa expires, because your intent is to stay. This is fear from all the fraudulent applicants.

I will give you the same advise my lawyer did ... wait till your PR appalication is complete.
