Hi.

I am in Canada on a 2 year Study permit. My wife and daughter accompanied me to Canada as Visitors. We have underestimated the cost of living here in British Columbia. My wife would like to work to help out while I attend school. I have read that since I am her spouse and have a valid study permit, she would be allowed to apply for an open work permit and would be LMIA exempt. Is that correct? How do I find out LMIA exemptions and am I right by saying she could apply for an Open Work Permit? Thank you so very much for reading.

Yes - she can apply for an open work permit.
