Can my husband get sponsorship for open work permit?

I am currently in Canada studying for nearly three months. I don't have a lot of money. I just wanted to find out if my husband can get support letter from a friend to sponsor him for a work visa. I don't have enough to sponsor him and I know that I need to show at least $4000 for him. I would really appreciate some good advice.

No, either you or him will have to be able to show the additional funds. He can apply for an OSWP, but either will have to show the additional funds.
