Hi,

I have a question and need some help.

We came in Canada in 2015 because my husband got intra-company transfer from USA to CANADA and my husband has Closed work permit from his employer.
My question is - We are applying for PR so can we consider that my husband has a job offer based on his closed work permit and already employed, because it will add 600 point straight ?

No - you can't.

You need to have an approved LMIA in order to get the 600 points.

hi,

But I read on site that intra comapy transfer are exempt from LMIA ? so current employer canot give LMIA ?
MY understanding is right ?

Why didn’t I get points for my job offer?

To get points from the Comprehensive Ranking System for a job offer under Express Entry, your employer will need to get a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).

You should only answer “Yes” to the question “Does [your name] have a job offer in Canada?” if a Canadian employer has offered you a full-time, non-seasonal job, and that job offer is supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment.

(Note – in most cases, the job offer must be for a permanent job. For some types of jobs, it has to be for at least one year.)

If you are currently working in Canada but have not been offered a job that is supported by a LMIA, you should answer “No” and create a Job Seeker account in Job Bank.
