Guys,
Maybe I am worrying too much or overreacting but I applied for a US visa 6 years ago in Canada and was approved. At the time of filling DS-160, I made a mistake in my employment history. Later during the interview with the visa officer, I verbally told him about my mistake and he just shrugged it off. Now since I'd be using the same employment history in my personal history form for my Canadian PR application (with accurate dates), I am wondering what will happen to me if the US visa officer did not manually correct my submitted DS-160 and just accepted my verbal explanation to issue me a visa.
Will IRCC verify my personal history form with my DS-160 that I submitted many years ago for my US tourist visa? What if they see a discrepancy? Am I thinking too much? I am not even using that employment history as my primary NOC but I am still worried because I am an honest applicant who prepared a lot for my Canadian PR application and I do not want to pay the price for a US visa officer not correcting my DS-160. Obviously I should've paid more attention while filling the US visa form too but it is too late.
Am I overthinking all of this?
