i am from america, he is from canada, we have a two year old child together who lives with me in new jersey we were married in vancouver bc in july of 2018 and have only spent a little over a month together since. he could not afford to sponser me at the time of the marriage, as he was unemployed. he now has financial stability, and we are in the process of filing. my issue is, if we file outland, will we be able to visit him in canada during the application process? also will us not living together during raise any red flags since we are married.

Yes, you can visit him. Given that you have a 2 year old together, the relationship is unlikely to be challenged.
