That's the question I'm asking you.Does Japan allow dual citizenship?

I would really NOT recommend - anywhere - using a different passport to enter and leave a country [meaning at passport control]* (see my post above). What you show the airlines is a different thing, because the airlines are most/only interested in identifying whether or not you'll be admitted to the destination country. How about Japan? You use your Canadian passport to enter Japan and use your Vietnamese passport for exit.
Japan apparently does not*, but it's NOT relevant to this person (the OP) because Japan's restrictions only apply to their own citizens.Does Japan allow dual citizenship?
I don't know about Japan, if its allowing dual citizenship. But the issue is, are you allowed to use a passport from a country you are not a citizen? So, would you answer this question, please? That's the question I'm asking you.
Lloks like @steaky is confused about a third country if it would allow you to enter its territory holding another country's passport, valid or not.Japan apparently does not*, but it's NOT relevant to this person (the OP) because Japan's restrictions only apply to their own citizens.
Note, I'm not aware of ANY country that polices 'dual citizenship' with respect to nationals of other countries. (Although it's possible there are some, I'd imagine some arab countries might have issues with citizens of other arab countries also holding Israeli citizenship - as some used to not allow entry to citizens of any country with Israeli entry/exit stamps. Anyway, no need to look for exceptions to a general rule)_
*From the internet, but note I've no idea how strict japan is about this - an issue with many countries with dual citizenship is whether the law is enforced (how?) and how harshly.
Oh my question wasn't about that. Mine was for using my Canadian passport to enter and leave Japan. I will use my Vietnamese passport to enter and leave Vietnam. It's just that my transit home might be through Japan, so I want to stop by and use my Canadian passport then, if possibleHow about Japan? Can you use your Canadian passport to enter Japan and use your Vietnamese passport for exit?
Shouldn't be an issue.Oh my question wasn't about that. Mine was for using my Canadian passport to enter and leave Japan. I will use my Vietnamese passport to enter and leave Vietnam. You can use any valid passport to enter a third country. Whichever passport you use determines which citizenship you have for that country.Oh my question wasn't about that. Yes and no.But the issue is, are you allowed to use a passport from a country you are not a citizen? So, would you answer this question, please?
Jeez, using a passport from a country you are not a citizen of, is illegal. Fraud, plain and simple.Yes and no.
You missed the point that some countries have "overseas citizen" and "citizen" and both their passports are issued from the same country. "Overseas citizen" does not have the same right as "citizen". It's legal, plain and simple.Jeez, using a passport from a country you are not a citizen of, is illegal. Fraud, plain and simple.
