Can I enter Canada with OPWP and S1 Visa

Hello friends,

I planned to visit my hometown. My work permit is not expired until July 2015 (same with my S1 visa), however I graduated earlier than I expected (which is May 2014). I also obtained an open work permit (which is till 2017), I also already have a letter of employment. So my question is can I reenter Canada with my S1 visa even though I come in with OPWP and letter of employment?

So did you finally enter Canada using S1 visa and work permit ?

I had a similar situation like you. My S1 visa is good till 2018, but I will change my status from study permit to work permit soon. My guess is I have to apply for a new visa based on my work permit, but not 100% sure.

yes you can as long as you come back to Canada before your visa and permit expires. I was procastinating thats why I didnt have time to extend my visa. Its good to do it before you leave. But technically you can enter back with a study visa and a work permit. I also had my work contract ready when I came back just in case . Hope that helps
