Can I enter back in Canada on my TRV?

Hi,

I was a student in Canada and have graduated in April 2014. Currently I am visiting home (India) for 2 months; and is going back to Canada on July 1, 2014. I have received 3 years post graduate work permit(valid till 2017).

The problem is, my TRV expires on August 31st 2014.

I am worried if that can be a problem while entering Canada? Will border officer allow me to enter Canada with only 2 months of validity remaining?

You just have to explain you intend to renew the VISA. No problem, your PGWP has your back.

So, it is okay if I do not apply for TRV extension in India? I am worried because I have a job to join and I cannot afford an denied entry.

We all can get denied entry if one of our papers is missing or will expire soon. This is a risk you have to take for not renewing before you left. I don-t think there is a problem, I have never seen one. Hope you are not the first case.

As long as you enter Canada before Aug/31/14 you will be fine. Carry a copy of your PGWP with you.
