I am going back to Canada in 2 weeks ( i have valid Canada work permit, valid Canada re-entry visa for the work permit).
I also have COPR, but I don't want to "land" as PR for my upcoming trip back to Canada. I'd like to do it in a later time. Could I do it?
Please advise! Thanks!

you don't have to land the first time you enter canada since getting approved. you just need to land by the expiry date listed on the COPR.

And what's the reason?

When you get your COPR how long do you have to land? I have heard different things. One thing I heard was that you have a year. Another place I saw that it is only 1 year from the date of your Medical Exam.

Thanks. :)

1. The COPR will be valid for 1 year from the date of your medical exam or the expiry of your passport, whichever comes first.

That's what I figured. Thanks!
